Its stand of mature trees and numerous water obstacles lend an added touch of class.
Golfen on Lake Constance in Weissenberg
Nestling in a beautiful natural landscape just a few kilometres away from Lake Constance, this golf complex benefits from the mild climate with which this region is blessed. A game on this unparalleled championship course, founded by Robert Trent-Jones Senior (USA), promises a very special golfing experience.
Lake Constance in Bavaria –Nordic Walking Park
The towns of Bodolz, Lindau, Nonnenhorn and Wasserburg have a lot in common: unrivalled natural scenery, a beautiful lakeside location and a mild climate
Challenging walking on beautiful scenic tracks
There are 15 different Nordic walking circuits to choose from. Each sign-posted circuit extends between 2.6 and 17.5 kilometres through the surrounding hilly countryside and along the shores of Lake Constance.
Some circuits can be shortened or, in combination with other routes, extended.
Bärenfalle Climbing Forest
Located in the heart of the Alpsee mountains between Immenstadt and Oberstaufen, on a mountain ridge above the Alpsee at an altitude of 1,100 metres, the Bärenfalle Climbing Forest is the largest highwire complex in Bavaria.
When tackling the Climbing Forest’s highest circuit, the ascent is achieved via a giant wooden ladder. From this point you swing off from tree to tree across the forest at a dizzying speed. There’s something here for every age group. From 3 years of age, for example, children can enjoy the exciting Kiddy Course for 3 - 5 year-olds.
Lindau Sailing and Motorboat School
This sailing and motorboat school is situated on the fabulous island of Lindau, in the harbour alongside the town’s symbolic lighthouse and rampart lion. The school boats are moored at jetty no. 5, the very best place to enjoy Lindau’s fabulous harbour views.
"Practice makes perfect"...
…This is the principle by which our pupils, young or old, learn to handle sailing or motorboats. First they learn how to navigate around the harbour where the boats are based; then the owner and sailing instructor Hanna Autenrieth prepares them for venturing out onto the lake and finding their way around other harbours.
Lake Constance Cycling Circuit
An advertising slogan from the 50s and 60s proclaimed: “Southern Europe starts at Lake Constance!” Both locals and guests really enjoy the Mediterranean feel this region has.
Nature and culture have many faces, and the fabulous countryside around Lake Constance which links Germany, Austria and Switzerland is also linked by a well-established cycle network.
This is a cyclist’s heaven. Well-signposted cycling tracks aren’t only confined to the lakeside, but also give access to many fascinating places of interest in the lovely surrounding countryside.
Cosy wayside inns, top-class hotels, rustic cellar bars and gourmet restaurants; lakeside bathing complexes and local thermal spas; zoos and leisure parks; history and culture. You name it, we’ve got it!
Orchard Footpaths
One of the special features giving the Lake Constance region its unique flavour is the widespread existence of ancient traditional orchards.
With the aim of preserving for future generations the great variety of fruit types traditionally grown here, this new extensive network of orchard footpaths through the hinterland of Lake Constance is dedicated to promoting each and every possible means of securing their continued existence. So, for example, newly planted orchards in the town centre of Lindau play a crucial role in providing an ecological counterpart to existing building development plans.
